Day 10 - Childhood Memory

Some of the best memories of my childhood involved our yearly family trips to Myrtle Beach. We'd all pack in to my grandparents' van before sunrise and make the seventeen hour drive across the country. My sisters and I sat in the back, giddy with excitement, while my grandma kept us calm with fun games and snacks.

After arriving we would run as fast as we could to the ocean while my grandpa and dad checked in to the resort. The week was spent playing in the pools and lazy river, collecting shells by the sea, shopping at the stores along the boardwalk, and spending cozy nights with my family in the hotel room while the waves crashed below the balcony.

I miss those days so badly. I miss my grandpa, especially. I am definitely going to start this tradition with my own children. Time spent with family is what formed me into the person I am today.
