The ceremony and reception were both held at the beautiful Marwanda Estates. Marshall and Wanda, the owners of the property, had a dream ten years ago of turning their barn foundation into a gorgeous secret garden for their daughter's wedding. Since then, many other brides and grooms have benefited from this incredible labour of love. The stone walls are decked out with foliage, flower shrubs, and carefully tucked in pieces of metal art. At night, the whole garden comes alive with twinkly lights. Amazing!
Caitlin and Shawn truly are one the kindest couples I've met. Despite an unusually humid, sunny day interrupted by sudden downpours (such as right in the middle of saying their vows), they were constantly making sure that their guests, wedding party, and my assistant and I were happy and comfortable. They came up with some neat locations for their portrait session, so we headed to an abandoned house, a rustic field, and a pine forest.
The evening was completed with heartwarming (and hilarious) speeches, a delicious catered meal, dancing under the stars, and a brilliant fireworks show. These two know how to throw one heck of a party.
Caitlin, you looked absolutely stunning. Shawn, despite your broken arm, you made a very handsome groom. ;) You two are perfect for each other, and I wish you all the happiness in your marriage. Thanks for letting me be a part of your big day!
