Travis & Courtney

Camp Crossroads is this amazing place that means the world to our family. Every summer since the time I was  8 years old, I was one of their most "excited to be there campers". And to this day, my path will still often cross with someone I met there, or who was there the same week as me from way back. Courtney was one of those people! (We think we were at Kids Week together once upon a time!) This past summer she worked as a cabin leader with my two sisters at camp and they LOVED her, and they LOVED getting to know Travis, the amazing guy she got engaged to in July after camp had started!

Whenever I heard from my sisters at camp, one of the things they said multiple times was "Taylor, too bad you couldn't have met Travis and Courtney! Such an amazing couple. You would have loved getting to know them." (And even my mom and dad said that, because they spent some time volunteering up there too!)

To my unexpected delight, I found an email from the two enquiring about wedding photography. I slammed an excited "I'D LOVE TO!" into my keyboard, and from there, we began planning.

Travis and Courtney drove a few hours up to the South Bruce Peninsula for their engagement session on Thanksgiving "Friday".  Courtney is a huge fan of historical locations and romantic scenery. Spirit Rock in Wiarton, with its century old stone ruins and haunting romantic tale, turned out to be the perfect place to start. Luckily, no bears were spotted and we had the place to ourselves.

From Spirit Rock we headed to beautiful, off-season Sauble Beach at sunset, quickly stopping on the way  for some photos on a colourful tree-lined gravel road. These two are so photogenic and adorable, my job was a breeze.

By the time we wrapped it up and went back to the farm for dinner, I felt like we had been friends for years. I am so excited to work with them again during their spring nuptials!

Great reconnecting with you Courtney and meeting your incredible husband to be, Travis! Enjoy your sneak peeks! :)
