Shortly after confirming a date and location, I received an email from Mike explaining what he planned to do. Jill is also a photographer, and Mike knew how much she valued the immeasurable worth of a captured memory. She had always told him that she didn't care where or when he proposed, but please make sure someone was there to capture it. However, she assumed it would be one of her friends hiding in the bushes with a cellphone. She had no idea it was going to happen during an autumn couples' shoot!
At the end of the evening when the sun was just setting, Mike pulled out the ring he had tightly wrapped in kleenex and kept in his pants pocket, "Jill wouldn't let me wear a coat! Do you know how stressful it is to have an engagement ring in your jeans?!" ;) and he got down on one knee.
The look on Jill's face was priceless. Shock, joy, happy tears, screams… and she said yes!
Mike, well done.
Thank you so much for letting me be apart of such a special moment. I had an adrenaline rush for the rest of the night. Incredibly happy for the two of you! All the best in the days of wedding planning ahead. Congratulations again! :D
