Oh, this engagement shoot was one of my all time favourites. Although I had only met Nick and Amanda a couple short times before this session, they're the kind of people who make you feel like you've been friends for years. So warm, welcoming, and friendly. Also, they're freakin' adorable! They are so obviously in love and it was incredibly fun to be able to capture it in images.
To start it off, we arrived at the Morland Place just as a wedding ceremony was wrapping up. The guests were gone, but an assortment of red and white rose petals remained in their place. If that wasn't already perfect enough, the owner let us in his gorgeous home to admire his antiques and take a couple photos. After exploring the grounds for a while more, their charming puppy, Farley, joined us for some final mansion photos.
Our next stop was Inglis Falls. Between the pretty autumn colours beginning to blanket the Owen Sound valley, and the mighty eighteen meter cascade of waterfall, we had a beautiful backdrop for more romantic photos. Farley joined us again, and by the look on his face he loved every second of it.
We ended our photoshoot as the sun was setting over the Southampton harbour. The lighting was magical, and we all agreed it was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing evening.
I am very, very excited to be working with these two again for their summer 2015 wedding! It's going to be a beautiful, fun-filled day.
